My name is Elexis Gillette, but feel free to call me Lex. I'm a blind track and field athlete. I compete the long jump and triple jump, and I currently hold the American record in both events for totally blind athletes.
In September 2008, I represented the U.S. in the Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, and became the Paralympic Silver Medalist in the long jump.
